    The Election Commission of India (ECI) has filed an affidavit before the Supreme Court in which it has accused petitioners, who have challenged the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Bihar, of having made incorrect and false claims in an attempt to derail the process. Certainly it is within its right but at the same time, ECI owes a moral responsibility of putting the incorrect claims in the public domain, which ECI ironically did not do.
