One of the sturdy pillars of Indian journalism, K.M. Mathew, 93, Chief Editor of the mass-circulation Malayalam newspaper Malayala Manorama, is no more. He passed away at his residence in Kottayam on August 1, 2010.
Under K.M. Mathew’s stewardship, Malayala Manorama embarked on a journey of expansion and modernisation that changed the face of newspapers in Malayalam. He has been aptly described as a “dynamic and visionary journalist” by President Pratibha Patil.
