  As per the decision the present day government took in Parliament on August 5, 2019, the special status of the State of Jammu and Kashmir, accorded under Article 370 of the Constitution of India, has ended. Article 35A has also ceased to exist. Consequently, Jammu and Kashmir will no longer be even a full-fledged State.
