7 July 2023, by S N SahuWith Ajit Pawar taking oath as Deputy Chief Minister and eight other Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) MLAs as Cabinet Ministers in Maharashtra, both Prime Minister Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah nourish the fond hope that such inductions from NCP would bolster their political strategy, after splitting Shiv Sena in 2022, for winning most of the State’s 48 Lok Sabha seats in 2024 general elections. After Eknath Shinde took over as Chief Minister last year an aggressive campaign has (…)

7 July 2023, by Kobad GhandyThe D.D. Kosambi Research Foundation and Library is a Society being set up to do basic and in-depth studies into the vexed problems and questions facing our country and the world’s people. It will only have one criterion — a burning desire to seek the truth, irrespective of the ideology one holds. Pre-conceived ideas will not be encouraged as we have recently found many left/liberal narratives seriously flawed. Today much of the truth lies below layers of obfuscation, and confusion abounds (…)

Premature Death of an Education Policy | S. K. Saidapur
7 July 2023Karnataka was the first State to implement the NEP-2020 with all pomp and glory, obviously in a hurry and claim some brownie points. Unfortunately, it is also the first State planning to scrap it and develop its own policy (State Education Policy- SEP), for whatever reasons. This can lead to a chain of reactions and precedence for other States, especially those not governed by the central ruling party. In fact, many States are still wavering to implement it. However, even in such academic (…)
