Mainstream WeeklyModi has turned into social phenomenon where some living actors and non living actors work to sustain the phenomenon. Living actors like CBI chief ED chief, Police chief and EC chief. All these establish relationships to sustain such a phenomenon of Moditva. CBI chief faced mid night coup when his words did not work and he wanted to look into the file related to Air Force planes imported from France where a large scale corruption has got involved. In the mid night coup he was removed with his person. The same thing happened to EC when member like Lavasha raised some critical questions against the chief and he got pushed out to have a bigger post but no role in Election Commission. But today the time has changed and Modi as a phenomenon is being questioned and Gyanesh Kumar is getting questioned by his colleagues but they cannot be removed. Furthermore there are nonliving actors like Ram temple , Kashi temple etc and thousands of illegal temples built by the RSS to sustain their propaganda that Hinduism is a non-material and metaphysical thing. Today Ram Mandir is losing its material basis as it is not a political force as donation into the temple has been appropriated by the management closely linked with Modi and Kashi which has metaphysical history where Modi is at the centre because he gets elected as MP. In the last election when he was trailing and suddenly the mystical factors saved and he got elected. Can the social phenomenon be broken into pieces? Last three months Modi as a social phenomenon is getting broken into pieces.
Last three months politics has taken into center of discussion. The balance of forces is favouring the democratic forces like youth students and workers and kisan. All of them are out against Modi Raj. Students in the protest brought our many strands of the politics. A group sang about Chanda Chori Kaha milege, Vote chori kahan Hai , BJP ka daftar me. Vote Chori in the name of SIR has been worked by Gyanesh Kumar with the help of Modi and Shah Raj. By removing the votes belonging to the marginal sections of the society they went for disenfranchised them and they got deprived of the welfare measures like pension food and health facilities etc. With the coming of the report on Election Commission in IE opened up the debate once more. Germs of the present movement rooted the last street movement. The young students demanded the removal of Dharmendra Pradhan but raised the voice that they will come back for Shah and then Modi which is going to be burning issues in the present struggle which is going to start at Jantar Mantar !!. the CJP has given a demand for the resignation of Kumar within forty eight hours. That means the kingpin of the Modi Raj goes out then the question of resignation of Modi may come.
S Y Quraishi the former Chief Election Commissioner in his article in IE Sept 24, 2026 raises critical points regarding the functioning of EC and it has been reduced to one man show and specifically Gyanesh Kumar. The issues related to SIR has not been taken up unanimously by the three members body of the EC. Other two commissioners have raised critical questions regarding working out of SIR in Bihar and Bengal but he avoided to answer to their queries. It is interesting to note here that human factor has been replaced by the software ECINet which cannot be questioned by commissioners. Both of them wrote to Cabinet Secretary regarding this but no response from him. Form 6 is supposed to invite the new voters by the EC but Gyanesh Kumar added that those who want to be new voters have to give information regarding father and grand father. This is male chauvinism why not mother and grandmother . It cannot be changed by the EC but by the central government. It got ignored by Gyanesh Kumar . it seems that Gyanesh Kumar functions as the agent of Modi and Shah instead of an independent commissioner for which he needs to face a trial and punishment. Rawat another former member of EC tells it that in the functioning of three member EC which has functioned unanimously. He is being shocked by the introduction of SIR which harasses people of India.
Almost a year back, Rahul Gandhi exposed the process of deletion and addition of voters in Karnataka assembly constituency part of the Parliament Constituency of Bangalore. It has been careful worked out by the Election Commission and today they have been working by using the SIR to remove the voters who support the Congress and the Opposition parties. Lakhs of voters got removed by the SIR in Bengal which helped the BJP to win the election instead of TMC. This emboldened Modi to help the EC to work out SIR by which minorities and dalits and tribals got removed from the voters list. It has been exposed by the Indian Express on 23-9-26. SIR has been mooted by Gyanesh Kumar not by the Election Commissions. Public mood is today anti Modi and Rahul Gandhi shows that he is a fighter despite being questioned by Modi. Today he is proving right regarding the deletion and addition of voters by which the BJP is going to rule permanently
Rahul Gandhi in his press conference has made two categories of people affecting democracy. Destroyers of democracy where Modi and his people including some civil servants. The second category of people are implementing the order given by the first category of people to implement the policies by which destruction of democracy turns true. The first group of people is known as conspirators for destroying democracy and the second groups of people are pawns who implement the destruction.
Anjali Bhardwaj a social activist working regarding the RTI found some months back that there is no record regarding the order related SIR in the Election Commission. Administration depends on written records and written orders but here only oral orders. But 13 crores of voters have been facing to be deleted without an administrative order. As fascism is based on oral orders and from whom it is coming and guess who is the person holding the key to power of Gyanesh kumar as chief election Commissioner.
On the streets of July 20 a musical song was sung by the young boys and girls. It is a bilingual one in both Hindi and English. Akha se ankha mila do ---- but the ruling class is feeling nervous of seeing into the eyes of people of India and they are not accountable to the people. This accountability is coming back in a big way to politics today. This is what Gyanesh Kumar does not understood it that he has to consult his colleagues in the EC and decision to be taken unanimously or by the majority. He is not holding meeting for four months and other members raising the issues in email to the Chief but he does not reply. He does not look into eyes of his own colleagues. He helps Modi in vote chori to remain in the power.

The chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar cannot take a decision on his own. It’s either unanimous or the majority. But most of the cases these two officers have been ignored by the chief. In opposition to them he has called the final shot. This is unconstitutional. Form six Gyanesh Kumar has changed to suit the ruling party. A new voter to be harassed by the EC in eliciting information regarding father and grandfather. This is illegal as raised by other two. The SIR has been questioned by them. As power to be decided by the district level officer as working Regional Election officer,but it gets decided by IT cell controlled by Kumar or someone from government. Most probably Modi Shah or RSS pracharaks decide whose name to be accepted finally as voter. Two commissioners raised objection and had written to Cabinet Secretary. It leads to rigging of voters list by adding or deleting from the centralised agency. For the first time the present Chief Election Commissioner is caught and he needs to be punished by law of land.
A question is getting raised by people that two dissident Commissioners of EC need not to go to the Cabinet Secretary to put their point of view and as the Election Commission is an independent organization and it does not come under the supervision of the government where the Cabinet Secretary is the head of it . They should have gone to the President to put their complaint against the Chief EC. Furthermore either they would have gone to press to inform their differences of opinion with the chief. All these can be kept on one corner and in another corner their differences have brought out the isolation of the Chief EC and his villainous activity related to working of SIR. Gyanesh Kumar as Shakespeare says smile smile make him a villain which speaks out the behind his gentle civil servant’s attitude and a dangerous element is hidden in him. He has worked out SIR to remove the 13 crores of voters from the voters list. This satisfies his political boss Modi Shah. They want to bring back fascism from the backdoor by manipulating the voters list and bringing the Delimitation law to debar the Southern States to have a say in the formation of the government in the center. This will strengthen the fascist forces rooted in social structure of North India where the high castes dominate in social and political life of people.
India is experiencing the phase of street politics against the present regime. The issues related to the Election Commission and their differences regarding the form 6 and working of SIR have brought the political parties and social activists to the street. With the news analysis coming in IE and the Congress Party has protested all over India demanding the removal of chief EC and putting him into a trial. On Friday there has been protest organized by the CPI ML and many social activists for demanding the removal of Gyanesh Kumar and scrapping of the SIR. On Saturday the large number of social activists and left parties have decided to protest on the streets in demanding the removal and scrapping of SIR for a week. CJP has given notice to the Modi government to take action within 48 hours otherwise they will come to the streets. It looks the season of autumn is going to be celebrated by festivities related to political movements demanding the removal of Gyanesh Kumar. This movement is going to be celebrated as the puja month in many parts of India for killing of Mahisashur. All these have symbolic power in politics and Indian culture.
Gyanesh Kumar in the press conference on the occasion of introduction of SIR told the press that” Halapnama dena hi padega’ This is a warning for citizen to file for his or her voting with various documents . Today he is supposed to give the Halapanama dena padega as he is getting to be persecuted by the public today. That has he taken the decision of the EC or it is his decision to introduce the SIR and bringing changes to Form 6 that he or she has to explain regarding the father and grandfather’s position in the electoral list. This is an illegal as it is not legally empowered by the state. Election Commission has no power regarding this and but Gyanesh Kumar went ahead with opposition from his own colleagues.
This movement is going to weaken Modi Raj as power holders are unable to work out their schema for staying in power for ever. As Shah declared that the BJP will rule for at least fifty years. This is a great threat to working vibrant democracy India has. Democratic forces are going to come to the streets of India to save democracy and Constitution of India. This requires scrapping of SIR which is going to threaten 13 crores of voters. Most of them are belonging to marginal communities such as Dalits, Muslims and Tribals. This movement started this week has a lot of possibilities.
