For the past few months, the Union Home Minister Amit Shah has repeatedly announced that Naxalism will be completely eradicated from tribal-dominated states by 31 March 2026. Such authoritarian declarations by the central government, made under an imperialist agenda, are a direct threat aimed at seizing control over water, forests, and land in tribal areas and, in effect, wiping out Adivasi communities. These announcements are themselves unconstitutional and a blatant violation of the United Nations Declaration of Human Rights. What is even more unfortunate is that instead of strongly opposing such hostile calls for mass violence, the Supreme Court of the country, national political parties, and the national media are acting as mute spectators and effectively siding with big corporate houses and the central government.
Under this imperialist policy, the Modi government has launched "Operation Kagar" in Chhattisgarh and "Operation Clean" in Jharkhand under the pretext of eliminating Naxalism. However, in reality, this amounts to a declaration of war against the country’s own citizens
